About
Clinical expertise. Forensic focus. Evidence-based methodology.

Jen Smock, BSN, RN, CCM®, CNLCP®, LNCC®
I am a Certified Nurse Life Care Planner and forensic nurse consultant specializing in complex and catastrophic injury cases where medical, forensic, and legal issues intersect. I develop objective, evidence-based life care plans that provide clear, defensible projections of future medical care needs for use in litigation and damages evaluation.
With a background in case management, clinical nursing, and forensic analysis, I bring a structured, methodical approach to the evaluation of medical records, treatment patterns, and long-term care requirements. My work is grounded in treating provider recommendations, clinical practice guidelines, and established life care planning methodology.
I work with attorneys, insurers, and medical teams in cases involving neurologic injury, medically contested or evolving conditions, and complex presentations requiring careful integration of medical evidence. This includes non-fatal strangulation and other mechanisms of injury where documentation may be limited or delayed, but where long-term neurologic and functional sequelae must be carefully evaluated.
This work is informed by ongoing engagement with multidisciplinary perspectives on non-fatal strangulation, including clinical recognition, documentation practices, and continuity between acute care and long-term outcomes.
